At Main Street
in Mount Pleasant, turn left for
0.3 mile to the intersection with Braddock’s Road. On the corner of this
intersection is a church with an historical marker in front of it noting
that Braddock’s army passed this way.
In fact, the original Braddock’s Road probably followed a northwest
line from the end of Eagle Street through areas now devoted to housing and a
large cemetery.
