After crossing the bridge, continue north on SR 837 through Duquesne for 2.9 miles. On your right in an entry road to Kennywood Park is an historical marker explaining that at this point Braddock’s army recrossed the Monongahela, having avoided the dangerous defiles of Turtle Creek. Braddock and his men were confident that they had passed the last obstacle on the march to Fort Duquesne. |
