Run Camp This tablet marks the site of General Edward Braddock’s seventeenth encampment. Braddock’s army camped here July 4-5, 1755, having marched six miles from Salt Lick Camp. The army forded Sewickley Creek about one half mile south west of Hunkers, provisions with a detachment of a captain and one hundred men joined Braddock’s army at this point. Six miles beyond is Monacatootha’s Camp. |
