| Winter Frolic |

The theme of the third annual Winter Frolic held on Saturday, January 29, 2011 was Celebrating Our Italian Heritage, and the venue was the Westmoreland County Courthouse. The evening's activities included listening to music by "Take Two," dancing the tarantella, watching a pasta-making demonstration, and playing the new Westmoreland County History Bingo game. A slide show highlighted vintage photos of many of the Italian craftsmen who helped to construct the courthouse, as well as images of Italian family life and culture throughout the county. Rizzo's catered with a bountiful buffet of heavy hors d'oeuvres and desserts.
This event is held annually at the historic Westmoreland County Courthouse (1907), and in the coming years will celebrate various cultural heritages representative of the diverse immigrant groups that have contributed to the history of the county.
